Appliance repair in downtown and midtown Toronto

Downtown means condos for a lot of our customers: CityPlace, King West, Liberty Village, the St. Lawrence neighbourhood and the Church-Wellesley towers, where compact washer-dryers, stacked laundry in a closet and built-in fridges and dishwashers are the norm. We know the routine of service-elevator bookings, loading docks and visitor parking.

Away from the towers, central Toronto is a city of older houses: Victorian and Edwardian semis in Cabbagetown, the Annex, Riverdale and Leslieville, larger homes in Rosedale, Forest Hill, Lawrence Park and Leaside, and narrow lots in the Junction, Roncesvalles and the Danforth with laundry in the basement. Tight stairs and older kitchens are part of the job, and we work carefully around them.

This page covers the former City of Toronto, East York and York. North York, Etobicoke and Scarborough have their own pages, and our homepage covers the whole city.

How a repair visit works

Technician going over a written repair estimate with a homeowner at a kitchen island
  1. BookOnline or at (647) 847-8774. We call you back to confirm a time.
  2. DiagnoseThe technician finds the cause and explains it in plain terms.
  3. Upfront priceA written price before any work starts. The diagnostic is free if you go ahead.
  4. RepairCommon parts travel with the technician, so many repairs are finished in one visit.
  5. Test & warrantyWe test it with you. The repair carries a warranty of up to 12 months.

Good to know before your visit

  • Condo building? Book the service elevator if your building requires it, and tell us where the technician can park: visitor parking, the loading dock or nearby Green P. A note in the booking form is enough.
  • Narrow stairs or an old house? If the appliance is in a basement with tight or steep stairs, mention it. Most repairs happen where the appliance stands, but it helps the technician plan if something has to be moved.
  • Compact European laundry? Many downtown condos have 24-inch washers, washer-dryer combos or heat-pump dryers from brands like Blomberg, Bosch, Miele, LG and Samsung. The make and model help us bring the right parts.
  • Hard water. Toronto’s tap water is moderately hard, about 7 grains per gallon (roughly 120 mg/L in the City’s water reports), so scale slowly builds up in dishwashers, washers and fridge water lines.

Downtown, midtown, the East and West End, East York and York: the former City of Toronto plus East York and York. We also serve North York, Etobicoke and Scarborough, which have their own pages.

Do you repair appliances in downtown condos?

Yes, every week, from CityPlace and Liberty Village to the St. Lawrence neighbourhood and Church-Wellesley. Let us know about the service elevator, loading dock and visitor parking when you book.

How soon can a technician come?

We offer same-day visits whenever a technician and the parts are available; booking in the morning gives you the best chance. Technician visits run Monday to Friday, and you can book online any time or call 7 days a week.

Do you repair compact and European appliances?

How much does appliance repair cost?

It depends on the appliance and the part. You get a written price before any work starts, the diagnostic is free when you go ahead with the repair, and new customers save $25 on the repair.
